  • Take the place of

  • supplant: take the place or move into the position of; "Smith replaced Miller as CEO after Miller left"; "the computer has supplanted the slide rule"; "Mary replaced Susan as the team's captain and the highest-ranked player in the school"

  • Provide or find a substitute for (something that is broken, old, or inoperative)

  • Fill the role of (someone or something) with a substitute

  • substitute a person or thing for (another that is broken or inefficient or lost or no longer working or yielding what is expected); "He replaced the old razor blade"; "We need to replace the secretary that left a month ago"; "the insurance will replace the lost income"; "This antique vase can

  • put something back where it belongs; "replace the book on the shelf after you have finished reading it"; "please put the clean dishes back in the cabinet when you have washed them"

    o ring
  • A gasket in the form of a ring with a circular cross section, typically made of pliable material, used to seal connections in pipes, tubes, etc

  • a gasket consisting of a flat ring of rubber or plastic; used to seal a joint against high pressure

  • An O-ring, also known as a packing, or a toric joint, is a mechanical gasket in the shape of a torus; it is a loop of elastomer with a disc-shaped cross-section, designed to be seated in a groove and compressed during assembly between two or more parts, creating a seal at the interface.

  • (O-Rings) are generally used as dynamic seals for shafts and are available in many different sizes and materials.

replace o ring - -228 Silicone

-228 Silicone O-Ring, 70A Durometer, Red, 2-1/4" ID, 2-1/2" OD, 1/8" Width (Pack of 10)

-228 Silicone O-Ring, 70A Durometer, Red, 2-1/4

This silicone O-ring is red in color, round in shape, has a durometer of 7OA, and is designed for use in a wide variety of sealing applications.
Silicone is acceptable for temperature applications between -65 degrees F (-54 degrees C) to 450 degrees F (232 degrees C). It has good resistance to ozone, weather, detergent, salt water, engine and transmission oil, non-petroleum brake fluid, hydraulic fluids that resist fire, vegetable and animal oils, and high molecular weight chlorinated aromatic hydrocarbons. Silicone is vulnerable to mechanical wear and tear, water and steam over 250 degrees F (121 degrees C), aromatic hydrocarbons (benzene), chlorinated hydrocarbons (trichloroethylene), acids and bases, and hydrocarbon fuels.
O-rings commonly provide a pressure and fluid seal between cylindrically shaped, overlapping mating surfaces and are commonly seen in engines, faucets, flanges, valves, and various cylinders. They are circular in shape, with a round cross section and a hole in the center, similar to a doughnut. O-rings are available in a number of sizes, and can be ordered based on required nominal inside diameter (ID), outer diameter (OD), and cross-sectional (CS) diameter.
This silicone O-ring has a shore durometer of 70A. Shore durometer is the hardness of a material, and its resistance to permanent indentation. A higher durometer value indicates greater resistance to indentation on a scale of 0 to 100, with 100 indicating no indentation.
This silicone O-ring meets standards defined by Aerospace Standard AS568A, which is the Aerospace Size Standard for O-rings.

MPG Booster Parts - List/Description

MPG Booster Parts - List/Description

Here's how to build your very own MPG Booster using a solution of Diesel & Sprite for the hydrocarbon boost.

1. Sterilite Container - Size that you can fit under your hood. Can be purchased at WalMart.

Warning: I originally tried one of the clear acrylic containers I normally use on my HHO Generator, The Diesel/Sprite solution crystalized the acrylic and it ruined the container. Thus I had to find something that the Diesel/Sprite would not attack, which so far seems to be the sterilite containers from WalMart, and hey they are much cheaper as well.

Note: The gasket in this container doesn't like the diesel, it grows exponentially. I'm going to have to replace it with a large O'ring that doesn't react with diesel.

2. Air Pump, Be it a 12volt version or as you can see in the photo, a simple 120vac aquarium pump operated from a very small and cheap dc to ac converter.

3. Air Stone, the bigger the more air the better the mpg boost - I assume!

4. Misc tubing and fittings

5. Diesel & Sprite , Mix 2/3 Diesel and 1/3 Sprite to fill your container aprox 3/4 full.

Install a fitting in the lid of your container to allow you to use 1/4"id hose from the top of the container to the intake hose of your engine. Make a hole in the lid, just large enough for the aquarium hose to enter and attach the air stone to one end, and place inside the container on the bottom of the container. The extruding end of the air hose, plug into a one way valve and then to the air pump. The one way valve just keeps the solution from ever backing up or siphoning in to the air pump.

Wire the air pump so that it only operates when the engine is running. I connect my inverter to a 12vdc source that is powered only when the keyswitch is on.

That's it. The booster starts working as soon as it's on, and it seems to work better as the solution warms up to engine temperature. I have my air pump sitting very close to the engine so that it pumps WARM air into the booster.

This device sort of reminds me of a GEET system.

Me and Kristina at Z Bar in NYC

i'm uploading some older photos since i've been busy with work
and i'm also recovering from a concussion that happened to me
over the past weekend when slipped on ice on an uneven sidewalk
ugh - i have bad luck when it comes to my head. this is the 2nd time
i've had a concussion!

anywayz....

this is me (left) and my friend Kristina in New York at Z-Bar

Kristina and I had a funny inside joke about Dio, so that's
why i had it written on my hand. lol. unfortunatley due to age,
this pic is a bit beat up and yellow marks on Kristina's face.
other than that, i think this pic captures the fun we had in NYC

overly saturated tho - another photo that needs to be replaced
